Medtech is a staple of healthcare systems the world over, vital in the management of a plethora of health issues. Last year, to explore this subject, Health Issues India interviewed Medical Technology Association of India chairperson, Vygon Indian managing director, and writer Pavan Choudary.
At that time, Choudary and I discussed the importance of medical technology in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with most, if not all, sectors, medtech has taken a hit during the pandemic. Mr Choudhary sat down with Health Issues India editor Kerean Watts to discuss the outlook of the medtech sector in India going forward and why different elements of the healthcare sector are recovering or can be expected to recover faster than others.
