What governments spend on healthcare

An interesting chart in Forbes depicts how much a few countries around the world spend on health care. India spends four percent of its GDP on health according to this chart. Of this four percent, the government spending is only 31 percent. At 60 per cent, India has one of the highest out-of-pocket health care expenditures. The news story also mentions that the country has only 6.49 doctors per 10,000 people, lower even than Pakistan, which spends just 2.5% of its GDP on health care.
